A Historic Baptism Sunday
Seventeen Lives. Seventeen Testimonies. Seventeen New Beginnings.
There are some moments in the life of a church that you just know you will never forget.
This past Sunday was one of those moments for our Life in Christ Ministries family.
We had the incredible honor of witnessing 17 people make the beautiful decision to be baptized and publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ.
Seventeen people.
Seventeen different stories.
Seventeen lives stepping into something new.
All Things Have Become New
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
There was so much joy in the room as each person stepped into the water. You could feel the love, the excitement, the encouragement, and most of all, the presence of God.
Every baptism was special because every person standing there had their own journey that brought them to that moment.
Some were emotional.
Some brought tears.
But every single one of them was beautiful.
A Historic Moment for Life in Christ Ministries
What made this Sunday even more special was knowing that we were witnessing history at Life in Christ Ministries.
Baptizing 17 people in one service was an incredible milestone for our church family, and it is one we will always remember.
But even more important than the number is what that number represents.
17 people saying YES to God.
17 people making a public declaration of their faith.
17 people choosing to take another step in their walk with Christ.
And that is something worth celebrating.
When One Rejoices, We All Rejoice
There is nothing quite like watching someone come up out of the water knowing that they have made such an important decision in their life.
The applause.
The hugs.
The smiles.
They reminded us that when one person takes a step forward in Christ, we all have a reason to rejoice.
To Our 17 Newly Baptized Members
We are so incredibly proud of every single person who was baptized.
We pray that this will be the beginning of an even deeper relationship with God and that each one of you will continue to grow, trust Him, and walk boldly in everything He has called you to do.
We celebrate you.
We are proud of you.
And we are excited to see all that God has in store for your lives.
God Is Still Moving
This beautiful day was also a reminder that God is still moving.
He is still changing lives.
He is still drawing people closer to Him.
He is still giving people new beginnings.
And He is still doing something very special at Life in Christ Ministries.
